Jack you recently did our first ever ANW campaign. Did you enjoy it?
Yes! It was a fantastic experience to work with ANW, and great to meet people so excited and enthusiastic about the brand. The shoot went really well and I feel the whole team really enjoyed themselves too.
Can you describe some of the ideas and techniques you used to get the correct look/feel for the brand?
I feel that I have a very distinctive look and style to my images. This worked really well with the ANW clothes; I think that the two definitely complement each other.
Was there anything different that stood out for you on this campaign shoot compared to others?
Well this being my first shoot for a whole collection I feel that it went really well. When I am working with professional people I think it is best to balance the vibe of the shoot. I take my work very seriously, but you can’t let this get to your head. I like a relaxed atmosphere, with good work being created.
All the research into locations was done by you so how did you decide which were best?
First of all I gave myself the boundaries of the E1 postcode to work within, I know that ANW prides itself in getting inspiration from the heritage of east London and this was very influential.
What's your favorite ANW garment from the shot?
My favourite garment was the Folgate Shirt. It looks great and the fact that it just looks comfortable to
wear gives it a major thumbs up in my books.
How's the Photography going?
I am currently in my 2nd year on an amazing Commercial Photography course at The Arts university College Bournemouth, surrounded by very talented young professionals. We learn things you wouldn’t normally be taught on a fine art photography course, everything you need to know to become a commercial photographer, from invoices and financial to portfolio meetings and branding.
I feel that over the last two years, my work has vastly improved and my style more defined, it is only recently that I decided to try fashion photography, but I have definitely enjoyed it and will continue to push my boundaries further.
Where do u see yourself 5 years from now?
Hmm, five years from now I see myself with my own studio, working with creative people and enjoying what I do.
Oh and with a winning lottery ticket as well!
Any advice for aspiring photographers?
One thing that I live by, is that I need to be enjoying photography, if I am taking photos and I am not enjoying it, I will take a break and come back with a fresh head. So I guess, any people wanting to start photography, make sure you enjoy it enough to take it seriously, but don’t worry about taking some time off.
